About Us
A Brief Background on the Philippine Trial Judges League, Inc.
The Philippine Trial Judges League, Inc. (“the League”) is the pioneer association of all first level court judges in the country recognized by the Supreme Court. Since our establishment in 1993, the League has always endeavored to meaningfully contribute to the enhancement of judicial services through championing the welfare, and enriching the learning experiences of our member-judges nationwide.
With automatic regular membership for all Municipal Trial Court and Municipal Circuit Trial Court magistrates, and Judges-at-Large, and elective special membership for judges of Metropolitan Trial Court and Municipal Trial Court in Cities, the League is constantly working to widen its reach to all 830 FLCs in Regions I to XIII, and the NCJR. The League likewise continues to offer special non-voting membership to judges promoted to Regional Trial Courts, and the appellate courts.
The administration of the League is entrusted to its National Officers and Directors. Biennially, elections are held for the positions of President, Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, Treasurer, Auditor and the regional and JAL Directors. The elected President then appoints the Assistant Treasurer, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General and Public Relations Officer, subject to the confirmation by majority vote of the Board of Directors.
Over the years, the League has been able to successfully conduct national conventions and seminars, outreach projects, and membership welfare projects. The League has also contributed to the shaping of the Judiciary’s programs and policies, through its representatives to the various SC committees.

An effective, efficient and independent organization of first level court judges committed to promote and uphold the welfare of its members hereby becoming ultimate dispensers of justice.
